Who sees your rounds

Your rounds, your bag and everything I told you are yours. They're never sold, and nothing in them is handed to anybody else.

On the phone, your rounds live here so you can keep score with no signal. A copy is kept so they're waiting for you on the next phone.

Somebody who joins a round of yours scores on their own phone and sees the card you're both keeping. They never see a round you played without them, and they never see what Baffy told you.

On the course your phone reads where you're standing, to work out the yardage in front of you and what your clubs actually carry. That reading is not kept.

After a round I send what happened on each hole to Anthropic, so I can write the sentences. The numbers are worked out here first.

When you tell me what you carry, that description goes to Anthropic so I can name the clubs. What I find about a club is kept so the next person to open that room does not pay for the same lookup.

If you answered a question about a club, that answer is kept with the club so it is still there on the next phone.

I count the pages you opened and the steps you took — a bag check, the founding group, a round started — so I can see whether this is working. That count goes to PostHog. Your rounds, your bag and what I told you do not.

When you pay, Stripe takes the card. I keep that you paid and which year you're in, not the number on the card.

Course names, scorecards and the green positions your yardages are measured to come from OpenStreetMap and OpenGolfAPI — mapped by people who walk those courses, and given away. © OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL 1.0.

A course you added to the list stays if you leave, because other people play it.

If you joined the founding group from the site, the address you left is a separate list. Write to me and I'll take it off.
